Parang La Trek

Trip Highlights:

Duration: 14N/15D
Max. Altitude: 5578m/18,295ft
Trek Grade: Strenuous
Best time to visit: July-September

The trek starts in the high altitude meadows of Spiti through the Kibber gorge into the elusive Snow Leopard country and over Parang La. The trail follows the traditional trading route between Spiti and Tibet, through Changthang. The spectacular scenery from the Parang La is a site to behold with the barren Spiti landscape on one side and the snow clad reaches of Ladakh on the other. The trail ends with a trek along the shores of the shimmering Tso Moriri, surrounded by towering 6000 m peaks.  Stunning views aside, this trek offers some remarkable insights into the life of the nomads who have made this difficult terrain their home.
